Hello!
Nice to meet you!  I’m Cherry, a children's book author-illustrator.
My hope is to bring young readers a sense of comfort and belonging through creating stories inspired by my own personal experiences and Chinese-American background. Practicing self-awareness is also a big part of my life and translates into my work. Besides writing and illustrating, I love to play Chinese "Connect Five" (五子棋  Wu Zi Qi), send postcards, and find joy in simple things, like a plain tortilla or steamed bun (饅頭 Man Tou)!

Picture Books:
HOME IN A LUNCHBOX (Penguin Workshop, June 11, 2024)
This book is inspired by my personal experience of moving from Hong Kong to America at the age of ten, with memories that made the deepest impression from my childhood. I hope this book brings you a sense of comfort and warmth from home! Click here for more info.
